Paulette Orlando–Corsair, native New York artist, discovered her talents rather early in life. Around eleven years of age, she started oil painting and doodling on anything she could get her hands on.
Studying fine art, design and illustration at Parsons School of Design / The New School University, in New York City, she received her BA in Fine Arts and went on to become an art director, designer and book designer, in publishing, promotion, advertising and production. For more than fifteen years, she devoted her design capabilities to notable businesses such as Simon & Schuster, Cahner’s, Hearst Magazines, Good Housekeeping Magazine, Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, and Citibank.
Paulette then decided to concentrate on her real passions: painting, fine arts, illustration and photography. Today, Paulette likes to enjoy her life “living in the moment”, residing in Southampton and Brooklyn, New York with her husband, Bradley Corsair and their little maltese dog, Massimo Giovanni “Massi”. The artist often creates new pieces for her collection of abstract realism in acrylics, mixed media and pencil. Known for bold and vibrant selections of bright colors, applied with forceful strokes, Paulette truly enjoys innovation through different textures on canvas. She often says “color is my thing” and that’s quite evident in her artwork of florals, outdoor scenes and abstracts.
Paulette also offers home decorating design, such as special home décor, painted accent walls, stencil design, specialty rooms, and embellishment or redesign of furniture exteriors. Feel free to contact the artist directly to commission personal artwork, purchase pieces from her collection, or discuss home design and decorating.
