Letter from our secretary Beverly Livernoche

OUR MAY 26, 2012 RECEPTION WAS A HIT!

Thank you to all who contributed time and energy to our show and reception. I love being the greeter at our receptions and I thank Carol Gold who extended her sitting hours to help me.

So many came. While 67 guests were counted, surely there were lots more with the comings and goings of the guests and artists. Both the NEW members and the artists exhibiting wore name tags. A few applications to join our organization were handed out.

Our congenial group was abuzz with conversations and greetings to our new members and guests.

The guitar music was played by Glenn Jenkinson. I’m sure he drew in the crowd as well with his great outdoor performance.

Just before closing for the night a sale was made. Congratulations to Arthur AndersEn for his untitled photograph of a tug boat that “tugged” at the buyer’s heart.

Our Memorial Day exhibit was certainly a success. Don’t miss out on our next endeavor, Art in the Park on July 21st and 22nd. For information and application, contact our website: Southamptonartists.org.

And coming soon will be our Labor Day Show.

This is our 25th Anniversary year, more events are planned.

Respectfully submitted,

Beverly Livernoche
