I was born and lived in Connecticut where my mother was my first art teacher. Mom was a fine water colorist and taught me a great deal about the importance of learning to carefully use your choice of medium. I then went on to a fine teacher, Lucy Schuman. Ms Shuman taught an impressionistic style using acrylic and oil. Oil became my medium of choice. My subject matter was heavily influenced by the beautiful landscapes of my early memories and continues to be my focus today, Sometimes interpreting my surroundings in realism and other times in abstraction.

When I came to Adelphi University to major in Nursing, I took electives in studio art and audited additional art classes.

Upon graduation, I became a Health Education teacher , making use of art work with students to allow them to express their ideas on sensitive health topics. Through Guided art work students could express themselves often more easily.

Additionally I attended Stevenson Academy in Seacliff and studied with famed teacher and illustrator, Attila Heja and landscape painter, William Merklein at the Art League of Long Island
And Ann Bragg at her Oceanside studio.

I am a member of the National League of American Pen Women, the All Cities Branch and Have had group exhibits on Long Island and in Manhattan at the National Arts Club and the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center.

My art work is in collections here on Long Island, in Manhattan, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maine,
Maryland, Virginia, Washington,DC, Mississippi, Florida, Arizona, Nevada and California.
