Mr Wightman

Dear SAA Members,
I must sadly inform you that our primary abstract painter Jim Wightman will be relocating out of our area.  Jim is a long term SAA member who has put many hours into our organizational programs. He was president at one time for two terms. Jim was an originator and activist in the past of the SAA High School Invitational exhibit and had taught at the High School for many years. Jim has always been available when needed by SAA. He was an early player in launching Art in the Park. We will miss Jim dearly.

He will be moving to Massachusetts near his son and will reside at the following address: 103 Maple Street Douglas, MA 01516.

Luckily, I will be able to visit Jim when I visit my daughter and her family. Let’s all wish Jim the best of luck and health for the future.

– Dom Lamontanaro, President, SAA

I am very sorry to hear that Jim Wightman is relocating. He is a wonderfully strong and accomplished painter who has added an element of professionalism to our exhibits.

Over the years he has worked tirelessly to make Southampton Artists an open and vibrant group. Jim and I had a two person show several years ago. I greatly appreciated that he generously arranged it without even asking for my help. He certainly will be missed. I wish him the best in his new life in Massachusetts.
