As a native Italian, Anna carries with her the love of all arts and the appreciation of their evolution in time. Her native country bears witness to so much art and offers permanent examples of any and all of them. Anna cherishes this heritage that has propensed her to engage actively in painting.
However, since residing permanently on the East End, it is the beauty that surrounds her here that inspires her to paint. She is passionate about her painting and, executing what moves her, may take many forms. She is equally at home with representational painting, sea and sky being her favorite subject, as well as abstract.
Anna says that because of her innate curiosity and desire to experiment and try new things, she cannot be limited to one form of expression or one medium. She is therefore a very eclectic painter because she has a visceral need to execute her emotions in a visual form.
She has been selected in various juried shows, such as “East End Light” at The East End Arts in Riverhead and the Southampton Cultural Center. She has been honored by being asked to be part of the Spring Invitational at Ashawagh in the summer of 2012 along with other reknowned artists of the East End.
Her work can be seen regularly at The Greenport Artists Gallery on 403 Main Street, as well as many venues on the South Fork such as The Crazy Monkey, Ashawagh Hall, The Water Mill Museum and the Southampton Cultural Center.
