I have always been an artist. As a little girl I would do drawings and my artwork in grade school always made the work displayed on the classroom walls.
I started as a self-taught painter, beginning with oils; then I learned how to paint in watercolor and never looked back.
I have studied watercolor under such artists as Edgar Whitney, Al Narazzano, and Eloise Gardner as well as workshops with watercolor artists like Frank Webb, Henry Fukahara, and Carl Molono.
I studied at the Huntington Art League in Huntington, NY, The Art Students League’s summer school in Woodstock. Recently I took a watercolor workshop at the Woodstock School of Art with Richard Segalman in Woodstock. I’ve also taken workshops recently at The Long Island Art League in Huntington with Antonio Masi and Keiko Tanabe.
Some of the shows I’ve been in are: The Huntington Township Art League, Pricilla Redfield Roe Gallery, Independent Art Society and The Suburban Art League.
I am currently a member of The Long Island Art League, The East End Arts, Southampton Artists and The Montauk Artists Association.
I have been currently showing in the South Street Art Gallery in Greenport, NY, The East End Arts in Riverhead, NY , The Southampton Artists Association in Southampton, NY and The Catbird Seat in Sayville, NY.
My style is realistic and I like to combine different techniques to accomplish my goals. I will use wet-in-wet and dry brush in the same painting.
My work varies in subject matter from landscapes, seascapes, people and still life. I very often work in one theme over a period of time as in the collection remembering Woodstock.
