Anna Franklin

Anna Franklin, an Italian native, has carried an enduring love for the arts and their evolution through time. Despite her busy career as a language teacher, she yearned to pursue this passion. Upon retiring, she embraced her artistic calling wholeheartedly by enrolling in courses at prestigious art institutions in New York and the art-rich Hamptons area.

Her dedication to her craft has not gone unnoticed, as she garnered attention from local newspapers and earned awards from esteemed organizations like the Southampton Artists Association and The Artists Alliance of East Hampton (AAEH), where she still maintains membership. Her artistic endeavors are showcased on their website

Beyond the borders of her native Italy, Anna’s talent has captured the attention of notable galleries, with her work being featured at the award-winning “Things I Like” gallery by Katherine in Naples. Her achievements extend far and wide, with accolades including winning First Prize in a Small Works exhibition at the Naples Art Institute in 2017, holding a solo show at Norris last April, and being part of prestigious art fairs like the Miami Spectrum Art Fair with Art Blend of Fort Lauderdale and the Palm Beach Art Fair with Steidel Gallery. Notably, in New York, she was featured in a special show at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, and her interview from that event can be found on YouTube under the title “Midsummer Night’s Dream” (June 2017).

Anna’s artistic style is characterized by its eclecticism, boasting many voices and forms of expression. Nevertheless, her muse remains rooted in the beauty of nature, inspiring her to create captivating artworks in various styles and mediums.
