SHAS Spayghetti Donation Request

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation will be hosting our annual community event, Spay-ghetti
Fundraiser, to raise funds and awareness for our Advo-Cat program, which spays and neuters hundreds of
community cats within the Town of Southampton each year. As the community shelter, we offer free spay and neutering for all the homeless cats in our township. It costs us roughly $15,000 a year to spay or neuter and vaccinate all the community cats brought to our clinic. This is the only fundraiser of the year to help us cover these expenses to help control the cat population within our town, so we really need your help! This year’s fundraiser will be held on February 25th and 26th, 2023.

Instead of a sit-down dinner, this fundraiser offers a gift certificate for a spaghetti dinner from Uncle Joe’s
Pizzeria and Restaurant in Hampton Bays, along with cupcakes from Cathy’s Cupcakes. Guests will visit the shelter to pick up their certificates and cupcake, and they will have the opportunity to participate in our chance auction. This is where you come in! Companies and individuals donate baskets, items, or gift certificates for us to raffle off and raise extra funds. We’re hoping this year’s auction will be bigger and better than ever, to offset the raising costs of medical care for these animals.

We are looking for local businesses and generous members of our community to donate toward this
auction. We can arrange pick up for donations, or you’re welcome to schedule a time to drop your donation off at the shelter. No donation is too small.

If you do not have any items to donate but still want to help, we’re also looking for digital sponsors for
this event. For a $100 donation, your company’s logo and web link will be posted to the shelter’s social media pages for thousands of followers to see.

If you or your company is interested in donating to our Spay-ghetti Fundraiser, please contact Venessa at
[email protected] or call 631-728-7387 x221. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and generosity.

Sincerely,

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation Staff
